**Position Summary**: The Manager of Financial Reporting is primarily responsible for the preparation of Management Discussion & Analysis (MD&A) and financial statements along with other related and ancillary responsibilities. They will report to the Senior Director of Finance and will be working with senior management on financial reporting and other matters including valuations and other special projects.

**Responsibilities**:
**External Reporting**
- Preparation of the MD&A, financial statements and various packages to the board on a quarterly and annual basis, and ensure that monthly accounting records are prepared in a sufficient manner to meet these needs
- Coordinate with multiple departments to ensure the delivery of the necessary information for the MD&A and financial statements are received on a timely basis
- Prepare and maintain KPIs related to ERES’s current platform and develop KPIs that reflect ERES’ growth
- Review the MD&A and financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness of information
- Ensure the working papers are prepared on a timely and accurate manner to assist auditors in the quarterly/annual reviews and audits
- Assist in preparation of Prospectuses and forecasts
- Assist in the preparation of the Annual Information Form and the Management Information Circular

**Preparation of Investment Property Fair Valuations**
- Coordinate with the external valuator on a quarterly and annual basis to obtain capitalization rates and projected NOI increases
- Preparation and review assumptions and models of internal/external valuations provided by the external valuator
- Perform analysis to gain assurance over the net operating income by testing assumptions and evaluating against budgets
- Maintain schedules that are incorporated into the MD&A and financial statements

**Compliance/Regulatory Reporting**
- Ensure the timely preparation of Toronto Stock Exchange (“TSX”) compliance documents and lender reporting
- Maintain TSX filings relating to MD&A, Financial statements, Management Information Circular, etc.
- Preparation of external filings for property manager as needed

**Research/Library for Regulations**
- Consistently research new IFRS/IAS standards that would impact ERES’ financial position and financial statements and co-ordinate policy solutions
- Keep up to date on new pronouncements in legislation that would have an impact on ERES or CAPREIT

**Projects**
- Assist in special projects relating to ERES

**Qualifications**:

- CPA with 4+ years' relevant experience in public real estate company
- Understanding of current accounting pronouncements in IFRS that impact the real estate industry
- Excellent computer skills - Excel, PowerPoint, SAP, etc.
- Ability to multi-task, remain flexible and prioritize deliverables. Desire to achieve high performance and meet tight deadlines.
- Must be a quick learner, organized, detailed oriented and very hands on. Accuracy is a must with external documents/filings/ board reporting, etc.
- Demonstrate excellent verbal/written communications and presenting skills. Direct experience working with, responding to, and presenting to senior executives is an asset.
