**ABOUT THE POSITION**
As an Assistant Manager in the Lion’s Pub, you will play a pivotal role in the daily operations of our bustling 200-seat English-style pub. Working closely with the Manager of Pub & Beverage Operations, you will contribute to creating an exceptional experience for both guests and employees. Through your oversight of the pub's daily operations, you will ensure smooth service and high standards of customer satisfaction while controlling costs and maximizing profitability.
**JOB RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Prepare room for opening and/or perform closing duties as required.
- Perform host functions as required during meal periods.
- Assist in the development & training of pub employees.
- Ensure staffing levels are in accordance with established standards and business volumes.
- Ensure all financial reporting is maintained and accurate.
- Ensure established standards and procedures are maintained and followed.
- Enhance and ensure that superior service standards are maintained.
- Work closely with Senior Management and Executive Chef to define pub themes and strategies.
- Ensure employees are well-groomed and prepared for their shifts.
- Participate in departmental meetings and daily briefings.
- Assist in coaching, motivating, educating, and training employees.
**REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE**
- A minimum of 3 years of Food & Beverage leadership experience.
- Highly motivated and demonstrated excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and tasks concurrently.
- Exhibits strong leadership qualities and effective management skills.
- Ability to identify and address guest service issues effectively through a strong floor presence.
- Demonstrates an ability to handle sensitive situations.
- Maintains a positive, professional image and contributes positively to the Club & Pub atmosphere.
- Experience in a fast-paced environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with POS systems and other operating software, including Word and Excel programs, is advantageous.
