This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified professional - like you - to support the Centre in achieving its Mission: To educate and support clients as they manage their water systems to safeguard water resources.

Reporting to the Manager of Strategic Growth and Planning, you will conduct, and assist in identifying, designing and coordinating, market research projects (e.g., interviews, focus groups, surveys) aimed at evaluating current customer needs and discovering new and emerging customer needs to facilitate and influence program development and modes of delivery. The research you undertake will assist with strategic growth planning to help the Centre expand geographically and vertically into new markets.

As a Market Research Analyst, you will host one-on-one focus groups, navigating through highly sensitive topics to gather intended feedback, and provide reports and/or summaries of research findings to the Manager with regards to research, analysis, new course development, customer needs and expectations (geographical and vertical market differences/similarities), skills and technology gaps and other trends. You will also collect, compile and analyze data to be used for strategic and operational planning for the Centre, draw conclusions, as well as write and disseminate data-informed and analytically sound reports and presentations.

**Note**:This **24-month contract position **is eligible for remote work.

**QUALIFICATIONS**

This role calls for a skilled market research and data analyst who has knowledge of qualitative and quantitative methodology, can balance competing priorities and has a profile that includes:

- A minimum of a Master's degree in Marketing Research, Psychology or a related field, including advanced courses in qualitative methodology and quantitative analysis.
- A valid class G driver’s licence (or equivalent) or access to own transportation.
- A minimum of two (2) years of experience in market research and growth planning, including analyzing raw data and writing papers and reports.
- Proven ability to sustain a professional demeanor in all aspects of the role, even when working under the pressure of simultaneously balancing a variety of activities and complex demands.
- Good organizational skills to effectively prioritize duties and meet deadlines.
- Experience with qualitative and quantitative methodology, including designing, leading, and reporting on research projects in multiple market verticals.
- Experience leading and/or directing research.
- Experience working in a highly independent position, with the proven ability to take initiative.
- Strong oral presentation skills.
- Excellent English communication skills, written and spoken.

**ASSETS**:

- Experience with software programs that aid with transcription and coding of interviews, Excel plug-ins or stand-alone software for higher level statistical analysis.
- Experience in the public sector or with community-based research projects and project management.
- Bilingualism in French and English.

An equivalent combination of education and experience would be considered.
