What you’ll be doing

This role is critical to our executive team communication strategy for both internal and external events to help build a modern relationship oriented bank for our clients. The AV Technical Consultant will support the AV Operations of our new multi-million dollar facility that requires oversite management and direction to ensure precise, operation of CIBC Square specialty spaces. With the growing need for ASL and LSQ services, as well as increasing volumes of live Corporate Events at CIBC Square and elsewhere. Our team needs to grow to accommodate.

How you’ll succeed
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical crew and relationship mangers of the individual event.
- Responsibility for managing Diversified/Encore crew while at events.
- Would supervise setup and installation of Audio Visual equipment for all internal and externally hosted CIBC events.
- Will coordinate requirements for Events utilizing ASL and LSQ capabilities.
- Understands CIBC technology and how to work within this environment.
- Live production for internal and external events.
- Duties include end to end management of offsite events for all AV requirements.
- This role requires technical knowledge in AV and stage setup, keeping abreast of best practice industry standards, and event requirements across all CIBC groups.
- This role has decision making authority and control over assigned work packages.

- Manage performance by providing fair and accurate formal and informal feedback, identifying and removing obstacles to performance and by explaining how performance expectations align with business priorities.

- Flexibility for travel - This role would require the flexibility for occasion travel in order to provide support for in-person events.

Who you are
- 8-10 years’ experience in the field of corporate live event and hybrid webcasting communications
- 5+ Years of operations supervisory/management experience
- Expert understanding of sound and lighting, and the operation of production equipment.
- Vast experience in pre-planning and execution of large audio visual Live Events.
- Ability to communicate effectively and lead a technical team to manage event capabilities
- Expert knowledge of broadcast studio setup and operation
- Relationship management skills to build trust and achieve results within a team atmosphere
- Leadership skills to influence and negotiate towards decisions aligned with CIBC’s objectives
- Consulting skills, including the ability to link individual business needs with strategic direction
- Ability to manage deadlines while balancing multiple complex priorities.
