**Position: Maintenance Technician**

**Location**:North America | CAN | **Brantford, ON**

We are currently hiring for **Maintenance Technicians** at our facility in Brantford, ON. The **Maintenance Technician **will be responsible for keeping the factory equipment and overall facility in optimal working and safe order.
- **The Maintenance Technician position is a continuum with the opportunity for advancement beginning at Operator Technician I and progressing through Operator Technician IV as skills are gained.**_

**Position Details**:
**Primary Duties & Responsibilities**
- Ensure equipment runs at expected speed with mínimal down time
- Maintain electrical and mechanical reliability of bulk handling packaging lines
- Troubleshoot
- Continuous improvement through root cause elimination
- Small capital projects
- Train operators on operation and maintenance of equipment
- As needed repairs to the facility interiors and other areas in separate from equipment

**OE/Lean**
- Acts as resource and champion for department continuous improvement activities

**Qualifications**:
**Education & Experience**:

- HS Diploma or Equivalent
- Red Seal licensed Millwright (433A) with at least 5 years’ experience in manufacturing industry required
- Exposure to packaging industry is preferable

**Knowledge, Skills & Abilities**:

- Communicate in English (both verbal and written)
- Able to weld and fabricate parts required for repairs
- Experience with PLC’s an asset
- Ability to trouble shoot hydraulics, pneumatic and electrical issues
- Excellent knowledge of equipment and processes within scope of job.
- Certified in use of all required equipment.
- Skilled in root cause analysis and trouble techniques of equipment problems.
- General knowledge of blueprint reading and electrical
- Experience with construction equipment and machinery
- Ability to read and write, and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Will possess creative problem-solving skills
- Team player - understanding the benefits of a unified workforce
- Highly motivated, success driven style
- Lean Manufacturing background a plus
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work at heights up to 60 feet including, bucket elevators and silos
- Must be able to bend, stoop, climb a ladder, and use catwalks of various heights
- Should be able to accommodate rotating shifts and weekend schedules (especially during peak seasons)
