Edmonton, Canada Sturgeon School Division Full time

**Sturgeon Public Schools is currently seeking a dynamic, energetic, and innovative Principal committed to instructional leadership for Sturgeon Composite High School.**

Sturgeon Composite High School, situated just minutes north of Edmonton and St. Albert, is one of the largest rural high schools in Alberta. The school has a committed team that works collaboratively to provide exceptional education to approximately 800 students in grades 10-12. Its reputation for excellent Career and Technology Studies, such as welding, construction, automotive, and cosmetology, is well-known. The school offers a wide range of programs, from academics to arts and languages, with ever-evolving Dual Credit partnerships and support for all students, including Knowledge & Employability (K&E) and Special Education classes. With a friendly and inclusive environment, the school strives to equip students with the skills they need to succeed by offering a balanced mix of outstanding programs and activities.

**FTE**:1.0 Term; beginning August 23, 2023 until June 28, 2024**

**Educational & Professional Requirements**:

- Valid Alberta Teacher Certificate or eligibility for same is essential
- Leadership Quality Standard Certificate required
- Advanced digital literacy skills are essential
- Leadership experience is required
- Master’s Degree, graduate coursework or degree in Educational Leadership or equivalent is preferred

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 10 months

**Salary**: From $68,147.00 per year
