Corridor Community Options is a not-for-profit organization serving the community of East Hants, Nova Scotia, We provide residential and vocational environments to individuals living with intellectual disabilities. A team of professional staff and committed volunteers foster personal growth, development, career skills and community integration to enhance the quality of life.

**Main Responsibilities**:
The primary role of the Supervisor is to ensure that the rights, health, safety, and personal outcomes of people living in the residence are being supported at all times. The Supervisor is responsible for all aspects of the operation of a residential small options home supporting 3 people. Supervises day to day operations including implementation of services, health and safety plans, facility operations, and compliance with licensing regulations. There is a component of direct support that will be maintained. The Supervisor reports to the Executive Director. Works collaboratively with the Manager of Programs, and the Manager of Human Resources, Administration Coordinator, other Supervisors and agency staff.

**Resident Support**
- Oversees case management of residents, and secures support requirements in collaboration with the Manager of Programs.
- Maintains an in depth knowledge of the medical, physical, and mental health needs of all residents.
- Develops, implements, and evaluates residential program to ensure the needs of residents are met and that they have community inclusion opportunities.
- Ensures that all documentation is maintained
- Remains familiar will current trends of supports.

**Financial Management**:

- Develops a financial plan for the home in collaboration with the Executive Director
- Assists in the development and monitoring of the budget for the home.
- Accountable for all assets of the home
- Contributes to streamlining and improving the systems.

**Administration Management**:

- Works collaboratively with the Administration coordinator
- Responsible for maintaining all licensing requirements of the home, and ensures compliance with all regulatory bodies.
- Completes weekly and monthly reporting to the Executive Director
- Oversees implementation of policies and procedures.
- Communicates in professional, respectful, positive manner.
- Maintains relationships with the people we support, family members, community representatives and external providers in a professional, respectful manner.

**Hours**:
The Position is generally daytime hours with a component of one overnight -direct support shift per week. Various options can be explored.

**Education and Experience**:

- Bachelor's degree in Human services, Disability Supports, Psychology, Social work preferred; or a related combination post-secondary education and work experience. Experience in support planning for people living with intellectual disabilities, financial management, and staff supervision. Completion of seven Provincial Core Competencies.

**Qualifications**:
A combination of education and experience in the following areas:

- Support planning for people with an intellectual disability
- Financial Management
- Human Resource Management
- Demonstrated leadership skills
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- ability to work as a team player
- ability to represent the home and/or organization is able to work as a part of a management team
- is able to work independently under the direction of the Executive Director
- hold a valid class 5 or 4 Driver's license as this is dependent on the requirement's of the home.

**Physical Demands**:

- Good overall physical health required. Must be able to assist residents in all aspects of daily living on active shifts.

**Other Requirements**:

- Valid class 5 Nova Scotia Drivers license
- Police record check and Vulnerable sector check
- Proof of Full covid-19 Vaccination
- Position is expected to start in June 2023
