BEV (Battery Electric Vehicle) Workshop Supervisor

Currently, we have an opening for a BEV Workshop Supervisor. The BEV Workshop Supervisor is responsible for the supervision of workshop employees to ensure work is completed in compliance with company quality and safety standards within area of responsibility. The Supervisor will also work with the other Supervisor(s) and other team leads to manage and prioritize technical assignments to ensure customer demands and the production schedules are met.

What you will be doing- Participate as part of the workshop team in order to implement initiatives as defined by the Workshop Operations Manager.- Ensure workshop personnel complete accurate requisitions as required for work orders.- Oversee work orders and shop jobs to ensure successful completion.- Assign duties to workshop personnel in order to meet operational requirements and delivery dates.- Respond to customer inquiries on work order status.- Ensure conformance to company quality standards.- Monitor job cost and provide feedback to appropriate personnel.- Notify manager of any significant deviations from planned work.- Coach, motivate, train, evaluate, and lead team members to accomplish the goals and objectives of the workshop.- Manage the performance and ensure compliance with company policies for all workshop personnel under their direction.- Participate in workshop and personnel scheduling and monitor and approve attendance and work hours.- Other duties as assigned by the Workshop Operations Manager.

What you will bring along- Technical diploma in Electrical Engineering or Red Seal Electrical certification is required.- Minimum of five (5) years of experience with related industry equipment.- Success in a previous similar supervisory role.- Ability to demonstrate mechanical aptitude.- Previous experience with Sandvik equipment would be an asset- Knowledge and understanding of lean manufacturing and 5S considered an asset.- Ability to read/comprehend related schematics.- Ability to lead a team to achieve required targets.- Willingness and ability to work shift work as required.- Strong written and verbal communication skills.- Ability to develop knowledge of customer business processes in relation to product rebuild.In return for your passion and drive we will offer you- The opportunity to make an impact on our business performance.- The opportunity to be part of an ambitious team, in an industry leading business.- The opportunity to reach your full potential.- Ongoing development and training.- An excellent comprehensive compensation package including a pension plan with matching, competitive health, dental, life and disability benefits.
