**Job Duties/Qualifications, Skills and Abilities(QSA)**:

- 1. Plan, develop and deliver classroom and workplace instruction as assigned, which will facilitate the learning of work-related skills. This will include skills for success/essential skills development, employment preparation, job search and personal management skills.
2. Manage an adult centered learning environment, establish rapport, encourage aspirations and facilitate problem solving in a non-threatening environment.
3. Evaluate and report on students’ progress in skills for success/essential skills, labour market preparation and work experience courses, as assigned.
4. Assist trainees with the support and counseling necessary to assist them in making appropriate career decisions.
5. Research and utilize instructional strategies and resources which will maximize the learners’ acquisition of workplace skills for success.
6. Administer appropriate & relevant career and skills assessments; interpret results and debrief learners individually and in group settings using various career tools, in assisting them in developing realistic goals to increase their skill sets.
7. Maintain current labour market information and contact with employers, including management of database and dashboard data.
8. Promote program, student workplace partnerships to business, industry, public sector and community-based organizations.
10. Liaise with employers to facilitate networking, including the possible placement of students at the workplace; assist with the development of training plans for the workplace.
11. When necessary, visit students at workplaces, working with supervisors to facilitate the evaluation of students’ performance; provide feedback and coaching to students and workplace supervisors.
12. Complete and maintain student record forms; ensure a system for the efficient utilization of instructional materials and resources.
13. Plan schedules, speakers and other activities relevant to delivering program.

**Required Qualifications, Skills and Abilities (QSA)**
- Two years relevant experience working with adults in career transition, adult literacy, or skills for success/essential skills training; workplace training or transition to work programming, with a preference for experience in instruction of job search techniques.
- Experience and training in group facilitation, teaching, and human resource development.
- Demonstrated ability to prepare individual and group learning plans that lead to the development of employability and workplace essential skills/skills for success.
- Knowledge of career planning; experience in using career assessments, including but not limited to SII, MBTI.
- Qualified and/or experienced with the use Test of Workplace Essential Skills (TOWES) or Workplace Essential Skills Assessment (WESA).
- Demonstrated knowledge and involvement with local labour market including business, government, and community-based organizations.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with learners and employers from diverse backgrounds, including indigenous peoples, newcomers to Canada, and people with disabilities.
- Excellent communication (oral and written), interpersonal, and personal management skills.
- Ability to work as a team member and foster teamwork.
