**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Educating the company and employees on important compliance requirements
- Training staff involved in data processing
- Conducting audits to ensure compliance and address potential issues proactively
- Serving as the point of contact between the company and GDPR Supervisory Authorities
- Monitoring performance and providing advice on the impact of data protection efforts
- Maintaining comprehensive records of all data processing activities conducted by the company, including the purpose of all processing activities
- Stay up to date on current data protection legislation
- Manage SQL Server databases through multiple product lifecycle environments, from development to mission-critical production systems.
- Configure and maintain database servers and processes, including monitoring of system health and performance, to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security.
- Independently analyze, solve, and correct database related issues in real time, providing problem resolution end-to-end.
- Investigate and resolve network errors
- Understand and execute standard processes and procedures for change management for updating and maintaining client environments
- Collaborate and communicate with the IT team, support team and development team
- Monitor health and performance of assigned servers/services, proactively working to ensure stability including maintenance, transaction logs and backups.
- Provide efficient reactive support to unforeseen issues and coordinate or escalate as needed to address problems quickly.
- Azure DevOps Experience (pipelines, deployments, etc)
- SQL Azure DBA skills with experience in Data Warehouse
- Hybrid cloud (Azure + on Prem)
- Azure portal knowledge
- SQL Tuning
- SSIS knowledge
- Lead requirements gathering, analysis and solution development for Database Administration and migration projects
- Lead projects, remotely, in a hands-on role driving database, cloud migration/adoption from inception to production
- Partner with project teams, functional architects, systems specialists, and other technical resources and customers
- Design and implement relational database models
- Administer large, high-volume production database environments
- Optimize performance
- Ensure cross-platform schema synchronization
- Perform regular log reviews and health checks
- Diagnose and correct errors
**BASIC QUALIFICATIONS**
- Experience leading cloud migration projects from MS SQL Server to Azure SQL
- Expert knowledge of Relational Database Modeling and SQL Server Internals
- Extensive understanding of relational database design, common table expressions (CTEs), and Test-Driven Development (TDD)
- Expert knowledge of DMVs, System Stored Procedures, User Defined Functions, and Custom Types
- Advanced knowledge of SQL Server''s "Always On" Availability Group feature
- Expert knowledge in OLTP and Linked Servers including how to secure them
- Expert understanding of SQL Server security at both server and database levels
- Advanced knowledge and demonstrated ability in Query / Index tuning using Performance monitor statistics
- Sound knowledge of database migration best practices for low risk and minimum downtime
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
