**What is Nisa Homes?**

Working from a holistic, culturally, and religiously responsive approach, Nisa Homes provides residents with a safe transitional shelter for healing. Our staff provide assistance with the goal of helping residents attain long-term independence and self-sufficiency

**What you’ll do**:
**Casework**:

- Input client information into database, document accurate records of abuse and maintain up-to-date records of service delivery and client case files.
- Advocate on behalf of the client within the legal system, helping them navigate the complex process of obtaining protection, seeking legal assistance, and/or other specific needs of the case.
- Provide emotional support, validation, and a safe space for clients to express their feelings and fears.
- Help clients regain their sense of self-worth and self-esteem by connecting them with relevant skill-building resources and leading life-skills sessions within the home.

**Intake Setup and Case Management **Meetings**:

- Coordinate and facilitate intake processes for new clients in partnership with another caseworker.
- Complete risk assessments and assist in developing safety planning for the client. If children are involved, help clients address the needs and safety concerns of their children.
- Provide crisis intervention and emotional support to clients; assist clients to assess their situation, provide information and referral to appropriate community resources with a trauma-informed and survivor-centered approach, prioritizing the safety and well-being of the clients.
- Conduct and oversee regular case management meetings for ongoing client support.
- Ensure that in-home casework team compile weekly casework report
- Escalate client-related or safety-related concerns to Leads in a timely manner

**Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)**:

- Establish and monitor KPIs of the in-Home casework team.
- Analyze and report on team performance, identifying areas for improvement.
- Ensure the in-home casework team's monthly KPI reports are submitted on time, complete, and accurate.

**Outreach with Local Organizations**:

- Establish and maintain relationships with local organizations for collaborative outreach.
- Represent the organization in committees related to casework and client support.

**House Meetings - weekly**:

- Organize and lead House meetings for clients in partnership with another caseworker.
- Address concerns, provide updates, and ensure a supportive living environment.

**Team** **Meetings - weekly**:

- Conduct weekly Team meetings with all on Location team members.
- Collaborate with all team members to address challenges and share updates.

**Life Skills Sessions - weekly**
- Work in partnership with another caseworker to ensure clients engage in skill building through a minimum of 4 life skills sessions per week

**Meetings and Documentation**:

- Maintain documentation of team meetings using the standardized template[SA9].
- Ensure accurate and thorough meeting minutes are recorded and distributed.
- Participate in staff and team meetings, and professional development opportunities as required.

**What we're looking for**
- Degree or Diploma in a related human/social service field such as social work or social service work OR Child and Youth Care Work and two (2) years of recent related experience. Or an equivalent combination of relevant training, education, and experience.
- Social perception to work with individuals who have difficulty expressing their needs.
- Demonstrated skills in case management, assessment, and intervention, writing case notes, advocacy, conflict resolution techniques, mediation, de-escalation skills and non-violent crisis management.
- Knowledge of crisis-intervention methodologies.
- Ability to compromise, negotiate, and work well with others.
- Current First Aid/CPR Certificate is an asset.
- Access to a reliable vehicle is an asset.
