Firefighter Training Evaluator

The Canadian Fire Rescue College (CFRC) is seeking qualified Fire Service Evaluator contractors. Evaluators are responsible for occasionally proctoring written examinations, and more commonly evaluating psychomotor skills. Evaluators act as an agent to the Province of Alberta, and are contracted to provide third party accreditation services to the CFRC on their behalf. The CFRC conducts anywhere from 12-24 evaluation days per year.

The CFRC typically hosts testing on weekends, and a Proctor Evaluator would be required for up to eight hours on each day. Some weekday testing may also be required depending on scheduling. The Proctor Evaluator will have the ability to pick and choose the testing dates they are available to attend in advance - offering great flexibility. A large portion of evaluations are conducted at the Edmonton Fire Rescue Poundmaker Facility, with some other evaluations occurring at college facilities in Alberta Beach. The Evaluator is expected to have a reliable vehicle that they can use to travel to and from testing sites. Evaluators will be paid for mileage if they conduct evaluations outside of these areas.

To be considered for an Evaluator position with the CFRC, the following requirements must be met:

- NFPA 1041 Emergency Services Instructor **Level II** - IFSAC or Pro-Board Certification

AND one or more of the following:

- NFPA 1001 Firefighter Level II with NFPA 1072 Awareness and Operations Levels - IFSAC or Pro-Board Certification _(required)_
- NFPA 1002 Pumping Apparatus Driver/Operator - IFSAC or Pro-Board Certification
- NFPA 1140 (1051) Wildland Firefighter Level I - IFSAC or Pro-Board Certification
- NFPA 1006 Rescue Technician (various disciplines/levels) - IFSAC or Pro-Board Certification
- NFPA 1021 Company Officer Level I - IFSAC or Pro-Board Certification
- NFPA 1021 Company Officer Level II - IFSAC or Pro-Board Certification
