We are searching for a part-time or full-time permanent Accounting Clerk/Technician in Montreal to assist with the company’s daily operations. You will be working closely with the Controller to manage the day-to-day bookkeeping and administrative aspects of running the business. The successful applicant will have a positive attitude, a desire to work as efficiently as possible, and excellent client-facing communication skills. We’re looking for someone who can operate effectively with little or no supervision and who can manage multiple tasks at once without becoming overwhelmed. **Responsibilities and Duties**:
**Bookkeeping & Data Entry**
- Post bills: Processing vendor and contractor bills, including matching invoices with purchase orders, quotes, and verification for accuracy
- Post credit card purchases
- Assisting with month-end reports and creating, maintaining, and entering information into databases (Forecast Excel sheets, ERP, CRM, Dashboards, etc.)
- Updating paperwork and maintaining documents (word processing, spreadsheets, slide decks, etc.)
- Bank deposits (when necessary)
- Maintain and organize the filing system (digital & hardcopies)
- Assist with other duties as required

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- AEC/DEC/Bachelor in Accounting is an asset
- Minimum of 1 year+ in basic bookkeeping principles and practices (preferred or open to learning)
- Strong computer skills and ability to learn and use software (e.g., Google Workspace, Shipping software, etc.)
- Prior experience working with an accounting software is an asset (Xero preferred)
- Intermediate knowledge of MS Excel and MS Word
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Understanding of the entrepreneurial spirit
- Self-motivated, able to multi-task, able to meet deadlines & prioritize tasks, and works well under pressure
- Proactive and can work independently
