**The Role**
- As a BI Analyst, you will use business domain knowledge in combination with data and analytics to deliver on key OKRs and projects. This includes market/category insights, experiment design, creating dashboards, measuring business results, and analyzing customer behaviour. You will also utilize multiple analytics tools and techniques based on business requirements such as performance variance testing, A/B and multivariate testing, ROI measurement, statistical analysis, and reconciliation.

The role heavily relies on proficiency in accessing data from various sources, such as relational databases, distributed data sources and third-party data capture tools. Analyzing visualization tools (e.g.SQL, Power BI, Segment, Salesforce) you’ll share customized insights with business and analytics partners. You will prototype data sets used in reporting and analyses as well as design, implement, and interpret test results using common frameworks.Finance specific requirements around forecasting, reconciliation, financial audits, financial metrics and KPIs and monitoring of payment flows should be your bread and butter.

**What You'll Do**:

- Establish data frameworks for our payments engine to create reconciled reports on inflows and outflows of monies from our product
- Combining financial analysis with an understanding of the business to drive ad-hoc analyses to project and produce strategic insights and recommendations.
- Identify, monitor, and track variances to ensure resolutions
- Maintain supporting details for all reconciliations on a daily basis to support the reconciliation reporting
- Assist in implementing a local data governance program.
- Serve as a strategic partner to strategic finance team by using data to surface insights, create metrics, support with business forecasting and communicate a point of view
- Support with populating venture capital fundraising data rooms
- Gather and interpret data, create and analyze models and information.
- Act as an internal consultant by understanding business needs, prioritizing data requests, synthesizing insights, and recommending solutions to key business partners in collaboration with other members of the people analytics team.
- Lead analysis of requirements and solutions.
- Use tools, such as SQL, Power BI, Salesforce, and Excel to drive analytics and enable client self-service on routine queries.

**Your Background**:

- Bachelor's degree of a quantitative nature (Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, etc.) or equivalent practical experience
- Highly motivated self-starter with a background in data analysis or a quantitative discipline
- Intermediate - Advanced SQL
- Intermediate - Advance Excel knowledge
- Experience with Azure or another data warehouse
- Experience with Segment or other CDP tools
- Knowledge of data visualization principles and tools like Power BI and Looker

**Bonus Points**:

- Education in either Finance, Accounting, Economics or Business
- Partnered with Finance teams in the past
- Experience with CRM tools such as HubSpot & Salesforce
- Power BI DAC Certifications
- Intermediate skills in python or other scripting languages (R, Linda, C++)
