New Westminster, Canada Kinsight Full time

Kinsight has been serving the community and families of children, youth and adults with developmental delays or disabilities for almost 70 years We’ve learned a lot over the years and that learning has shaped our services and supports to help people to achieve their goals. We work each day to live out our Vision - a world where _Everyone’s Welcome, Everyone Belongs, Everywhere. _If this Vision resonates with you and you would like to help us to continue to learn and grow, please read on

Kinsight is an accredited non-profit organization that works alongside people of all ages to support growth, development and personal well-being. We work throughout the community with hundreds of people - including neighbours, professionals, employers and businesses - to welcome and include all people, and foster vibrant and healthy communities.

We’ve seen a lot of changes in the last few years and we’ve worked hard to move from offering services that meet ‘current best practices’ to designing and delivering services that are and will become ‘next best practices’. While we have always challenged ourselves to be better and do better for those we serve, the experiences of people throughout the community (and the world) made us pause and redesign many of our traditional services in conjunction with those we serve. Participants, their Families and Caregivers have played an active role in charting our way forward and the staff team has done a fantastic job in responding to the needs of Participants. We are looking for more dedicated and enthusiastic staff to join the team.

We need people who believe in our Vision, the ‘why’ of what we do, and who can plan with and offer Participants meaningful dynamic service experiences. And of course we’ll be looking for all the other things too like ‘team player’, ‘able to work independently’, ‘strong communicator’, and ‘fairly tech savvy’.

***:
Under the guidance and support of the Community Inclusion Supervisor and through active team participation, the Service Experience Worker will design creative service experiences and support people with developmental disabilities and other support needs to participate in those experiences that reflect and respect the personal preferences, goals and choices of each person.
