**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Processing and Reviewing Invoices**: Ensure accuracy and timeliness of all invoices.
- **Tracking and Processing Progress Billing Reports**: Manage and monitor progress billing to maintain financial control.
- **Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable Management**: Follow up with overdue accounts, collect payments over the phone, and ensure timely payments to vendors.
- **Monthly Bank Reconciliations**: Perform bank reconciliations to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- **Monthly Balance Sheet Reconciliations**: Reconcile balance sheets and ensure all entries are accurate and complete.
- **Income Statement Analysis**: Review income statements for accuracy and completeness.
- **GST and PST Remittances**: Prepare and submit remittances for GST and PST.
- **Employee Hours and Job Materials Tracking**: Confirm that employee hours and job materials align with internal tracking software.
- **Payroll Support**: Submit time sheets and assist with payroll processing.
- **On-boarding Paperwork**: Prepare all necessary paperwork for new team members.
- **Clerical/Administrative Functions**: Perform data entry and provide administrative support as needed.
- **General Ledger Maintenance**: Maintain and update general ledger accounts.
- **Accounting System Transactions**: Generate transactions in the accounting system as directed.
**Qualifications**:
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Suite
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience in construction or marketing industries is a plus
