**Position Overview**
We are seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable Coordinator to manage all accounts payable and receivable functions across multiple entities within Farm Lending Canada. This role will be essential in ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance in financial transactions within a highly regulated industry, while maintaining positive relationships with vendors and clients.
**Key Responsibilities**
- **Accounts Payable (AP)**:
- Process and verify invoices, ensuring accuracy and appropriate approvals before payments.
- Manage timely payments to vendors, resolving discrepancies and responding to vendor inquiries.
- Reconcile statements with vendor accounts and monitor outstanding balances.
- Process and reconcile inter-company transactions.
- **Accounts Receivable (AR)**:
- Confirm and record funds received within the brokerage, and lender accounts.
- Accurately record payments received and ensure timely deposits.
- Reconcile accounts receivable ledgers to ensure all payments are accurately posted.
- Match remittance reports received to funds received from multiple sources.
- **Cross-Company Financial Coordination**:
- Manage AP and AR functions for multiple companies within the organization, ensuring correct company allocations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to consolidate financial information.
- **Reporting & Compliance**:
- Prepare periodic financial reports related to AP/AR and assist with monthly closing activities.
- Maintain accurate and organized financial records to ensure audit readiness and compliance with company policies, and Anti-Money Laundering regulations.
**Qualifications**
- **Education**: Accounting diploma, or related certification required.
- **Experience**: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in accounts payable and receivable, preferably handling multiple companies; experience within legal, brokerage, or financial institutions an asset.
- **Skills**:
- Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple financial processes across various companies.
- Skilled in addressing inquiries or discrepancies with professionalism and clarity.
- Advanced abilities in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) and accounting software (experience with QuickBooks or similar platform).
- Proactive & Self-Motivated; takes ownership of tasks and responsibilities, consistently delivering results while managing priorities independently.
