In this role, you’ll support our Prospr Clients. Prospr is a new offering from Sun Life that empowers Clients to get the advice they need, where and when they need it. Enabled by a digital platform and a team of licensed advisors, Prospr helps Canadians select, prioritize, and track their goals all in one place. This is your opportunity to be part of establishing a new team in Health Insurance Operations.

**What will you do?**
- Assess and classify risk. Gather additional information, obtain medical tests or refer cases as required
- Liaise with business leaders and advisors delivering exceptional service and expertise
- Contribute to a positive environment through team work, and a spirit of innovation, continuous improvement and professional development
- Maintain medical knowledge and stay current on underwriting approaches

**What do you need to succeed?**
- Minimum 3 years of experience as an Individual Life Underwriter
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Analytical, judgement, problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Knowledge of medicine and risk factors
- Service-oriented attitude with interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with our internal and external partners
- Proven ability to meet tight deadline, work under pressure prioritizing multiple tasks
- Specialized training: ALU certificate and commitment to ongoing education with a goal of attaining the Fellow, Academy of Life Underwriting (FALU) and Fellow, Life Management Institute (FLMI) designations
- As this position is posted in several locations, we specify that bilingualism (French, English, both oral and written) is required **for Quebec only** for the frequent interactions with English and French-speaking colleagues or internal partners across Canada or worldwide.
