We are looking for carpet installer in Toronto ON, who will be responsible for the installation of carpets and other types of floor coverings in residential, commercial, and institutional settings. They play a crucial role in ensuring high-quality carpet installations that meet industry standards and customer expectations. The job description of a carpet installer in Ontario typically includes the following key responsibilities:

- **Pre-installation Preparation**: Review installation plans and specifications provided by clients, contractors, or project managers. Inspect the installation area to assess the condition of the subfloor, measure dimensions, and identify any potential issues or obstacles that may affect the installation process.
- **Carpet Installation**: Install carpets and other floor coverings according to industry standards, manufacturer guidelines, and client specifications. Prepare the subfloor by cleaning, leveling, and repairing it as necessary. Install underpadding and stretch carpets using appropriate tools and techniques to achieve a smooth and secure fit.
- **Cutting and Seaming**: Accurately measure and cut carpets to fit the installation area, accounting for irregular shapes, corners, and obstacles. Seam carpets together using various techniques, such as hot seaming or tape seaming, to ensure seamless and durable joins.
- **Quality Control**: Ensure that carpet installations meet quality standards and customer expectations. Inspect completed installations for proper fit, alignment, and overall appearance. Address any deficiencies or issues promptly and take corrective measures as necessary.
- **Safety and Compliance**: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment. Follow Ontario's Occupational Health and Safety Act and other relevant regulations during carpet installation, including proper handling of tools, equipment, and materials.
- **Customer Service**: Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries, concerns, and requests related to carpet installation. Communicate effectively and professionally with clients to ensure their satisfaction throughout the installation process.
- **Material Handling and Inventory Management**: Safely handle and transport carpet rolls, tools, and equipment to the installation site. Maintain an organized inventory of carpeting materials, tools, and supplies, and coordinate with suppliers or project managers for timely material deliveries.
- **Teamwork and Collaboration**: Collaborate with other installers, contractors, or project teams to ensure efficient coordination of carpet installation activities. Communicate and work effectively with team members to meet project deadlines and deliver high-quality installations.
- **Continuous Learning**: Stay updated on the latest carpet installation techniques, products, and industry trends through training and professional development opportunities. Seek opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge to improve installation efficiency and quality.

**Requirements**:

- High school diploma or equivalent education.
- Relevant experience in carpet installation or a similar flooring trade.
- Knowledge of carpet types, materials, and installation methods.
- Familiarity with industry standards and guidelines for carpet installation.
- Proficient in using carpet installation tools and equipment, such as carpet stretchers, knee kickers, and steam rollers.
- Ability to read and interpret installation plans, blueprints, and specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in measuring, cutting, and seaming carpets.
- Physical stamina and ability to perform manual labor, including lifting and moving heavy carpet rolls.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Valid driver's license is preferred.
