**Overview**
- The role of Ready Mix Laborer is responsible for the primary day-to-day production of Ready Mix Concrete being loaded for Job Sites (Home Owner and other Clients in the industries) This role is also responsible for Property well-being and Plant functioning to produce a high-level Product from Lafarge.**Responsibilities**- Adhere to all Lafarge safety policies and procedures.
Tangibly support a safe work environment
Perform general construction labor to include plant clean-up and moving of materials by hand.
Operating motorized equipment including power tools, loaders, telehandlers
Work requires alert individuals with good balance and physical strength.
Perform general plant maintenance ie. Greasing and inspecting plant.
Work could but could be exposed to cold and heat, noise and dust.
Maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders from Sales, Logistics, and Operations teams as well as external truck partners.
Have a flexible schedule. This position may require an individual to work different shifts.

**Qualifications**

**Education and Work Experience**:
- Grade 12 or equivalent
Experience in a related field preferred.
Frequently lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling up to 50 pounds of material and up to 90 pounds of material with assistance, if requested.
Frequently walking, stooping, kneeling, reaching and climbing.
Frequent use of hand tools such as power tools, circular saws, hammers, nails, and bolts.
Valid driver’s license (Min. Class 5)
Understanding of building materials industry, including product knowledge, an asset.
Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office suite of products, an asset

Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Strong sense of teamwork

**Competencies**:
- Safety oriented
Able to lift 50 lbs.
Able to work in a fast paced, high production environment
Willing to work overtime and shifts when needed including weekends
Able to work unsupervised
Able to work well with others
Good communication skills
