Job Posting - Water Management/Project Manager

Maxx North America Services Ltd., one of Alberta’s most progressive and innovative oilfield service companies, is looking to hire a motivated, capable, and dynamic Project Manager to work within our growing Water Management division. This opportunity represents a compelling career challenge for someone looking to get in on the ground floor with an up-and-coming company that has a strong leadership team based in Edmonton.

The role is based in Edmonton, Alberta with travel to Maxx’s project sites across Canada.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Responsible for the health and safety of staff within the Division;
- Lead the development of cost estimates (including RFP & RFQ) and approve the estimates prior to communicating with the client;
- Effectively manage all resources (people, financial & equipment) to ensure maximum efficiency in planning, forecasting, and allocation;
- Responsible to ensure that Maxx personnel are technically competent and qualified as necessary to perform their assigned roles and responsibilities;
- Accountable to ensure equipment utilization is always maximized;
- The safe and reliable operation of all equipment within the Division;
- Accountable and responsible for the development and management of budgets, costs, and margins for the Division;
- Accountable to prepare and present cost analysis for staff and equipment;
- Develop and foster an environment which actively enables and encourages employee innovation, continuous improvement, and commitment to operational excellence;
- Ensures compliance to all corporate maintenance practices and procedures;
- Ensure compliance with all relevant federal, provincial, and local regulatory requirements;
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures pertaining to operations and maintenance.

**Skills and Experience**:

- 5-10 years of experience in the oil and gas industry with preference to water management operations.
- Post-Secondary education (engineer or engineering technologist or PMP) is preferred but not a prerequisite.
- 1 - 2 years of leadership experience
- Knowledge and experience with water management related work including but not limited to:

- O&G fluids / water management
- Long distance water transfer
- On-lease Frac water pumping and truck fill stations
- Pipeline de-watering
- Pipeline hydrotesting
- Well pointing
- Flood relief & water diversion
- Mine de-watering
- Experience in reading and interpreting contract requirements.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, positive attitude is a MUST.
