As a Renewables and T&D Associate in this entry-level to intermediate role, you'll play a pivotal part in early development of large-scale renewables, storage and T&D projects across Ontario and Eastern Canada.

We're seeking individuals who are ready to leverage their education, training, hard and soft skills, and prior industry experience to achieve the objectives of this role. Your primary responsibility will be to work closely with our Director - Power Markets-T&D to support and expand BBA's renewable project services. **Your work in action**:
As a Renewables and T&D Associate, your role involves handling early-stage development projects; conducting feasibility assessments, analyses and preliminary design; coordinating engineering; and contributing to ongoing design projects related to renewable energy and T&D infrastructure.

Collaboration with project managers, engineers and stakeholders is crucial for delivering top-notch engineering solutions that fulfill client requirements and advance electrification, grid modernization and renewable energy technologies.

**Your responsibilities will include**:
Conducting assessments and feasibility studies for renewable energy projects, including solar, wind, energy storage and other emerging technologies.
Performing analysis and holistic energy modelling to optimize system performance, energy production and cost-effectiveness.
Assisting in the development of preliminary designs and engineering plans for renewable energy installations and T&D infrastructure.
Coordinating with internal teams, clients, external partners and regulatory authorities to ensure compliance with standards, regulations and project requirements.
Participating in site visits, inspections and project meetings to support project development and implementation.
Contributing to the preparation of technical reports, proposals and presentations for clients and stakeholders.
Staying abreast of industry trends, best practices and technological advancements in the renewable energy and T&D sectors.
Supporting project managers and senior engineers in project execution, budgeting, scheduling and quality control.

**Overview of certifications and job requirements**:
Bachelor's degree in engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Environmental, Energy Systems or a related field)
Over two years of experience in renewable energy, power markets, energy consulting or related engineering projects
Proficiency in engineering software/tools for modelling, simulation and analysis
Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and problem-solving capabilities
Effective communication, interpersonal and relationship-building skills suitable for a diverse and collaborative environment
Familiarity with regulatory requirements, codes and standards pertinent to renewable energy and T&D projects
