Under the direction and support of the Director, Land and Development Services, the County is hiring an additional Land Administrator who is responsible for the administration of municipal land interests. The Land Administrator is a fast-paced quasi-professional role that relies on experience, education, and skill development to work both autonomously and as part of a team to oversee the County's municipal land interests. Responsibilities in this role include:
- Administering the closure, leasing, licensing, and/or sale of unused road allowances, municipally freehold or reserved land or agricultural land and the County's surplus municipal land strategy.
- Drafting legal agreements and documentation.
- Tracking and managing County's land interest portfolio.
- Liaising with representatives from various levels of government, community groups, public, and other stakeholders.
- Researching, reviewing, and preparing various technical reports.
- Providing interdepartmental feedback pertaining to land management best practices.
- General administrative duties.
**Qualifications**:
- Minimum 3 to 5 years' experience in Land Administration and post-secondary education in relation to Land Administration or similar role and post-secondary diploma or degree in a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to approach issues with an open mind and unbiased manner to develop innovative, cooperative solutions.
- Ability to demonstrate strong time management, organizational skills, and manage interruptions within a fast-paced environment.
- A keen attention to detail.
- Ability to accurately interpret legal survey plans, drawings, legal descriptions, and legal agreements.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment, but also independently.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Superb customer service skills are a must.
- Willingness to embrace technology.
- Proficient in MS Office.
- Experience with SPIN and GIS is an asset.
- Robust knowledge of the Alberta Land Titles system and Land Titles procedures.
- Knowledge and experience with the _Municipal Government Act_ and other applicable Provincial and Federal legal statues.
This position is Permanent Full Time working 35 hours per week Monday to Friday.
