**JOB TITLE**: Bicycle Sales Associate

**DEPARTMENT**: Front Shop

**SUPERVISOR**: Store Manager/Assistant Manager

**GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION**

A Full Cycle sales associate is responsible for assisting customers to find the bike or accessory that meet their unique needs. No matter what a customer is looking for, a sales associate must be able to ask the right questions to enable them to provide an informed recommendation. Whether it is someone getting into biking for the first time or a veteran rider, we want all customers to feel welcomed shopping with us and we will be excited to help them with whatever their needs are.

**MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Assisting customers with purchasing bicycles and accessories by asking leading questions and making informed recommendations to suit their specific needs
- Providing exceptional customer service to all customers by answering inquiries and dealing with any concerns both in store and over the phone
- Keeping the front shop clean, organized, and well stocked
- Assisting multiple customers is a must (answering the phone while a customer is out on a test ride, assisting a new customer while a test ride bike is having pedals installed, etc)
- Maintaining a professional environment for customers at all times
- Utilizing the POS system to assist customers with in-store purchases and online order pickups

**MINOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Helping with customer flow at the service counter by writing work orders and processing bike pickups as required
- Assisting in other departments such as service counter, bike building, online orders as directed by the manager
- Offering espresso to customers as they browse the store
- Maintaining stock room organization - ensuring that product is put away where it belongs
- Participating in maintaining a safe work environment at all times

**EXPERIENCE**
- 1 year retail experience (preferred)
- Previous industry experience an asset

**KEY COMPETENCIES**
- Outstanding customer service and sales skills
- Strong oral and written skills in English (required) and French (preferred)
- Passion for bikes is a must

**PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS**
- Able to lift up to 35lbs
- Able to stand for long periods of time

**COMPENSATION**
- $19.60+ per hour. Compensation will take into consideration previous work experience, years of service, etc. The next step for this role would be to move into an Supervisor or Assistant Manager position.
