Elevator Interior Installer- Edm-t or Edm-d License

**Job summary**:

Working under the direct supervision of the Lead Installer, the Installation Helper travels to customer sites and assists in the complete installation process of elevator cab interiors and components, surveys job sites, troubleshoots and completes repairs and maintenance to elevator interiors and components and ensures necessary on-site documentation is completed. The Installation Helper ensures that safe work practices are always followed, and that applicable Health and Safety legislation is followed.

**Job specifications**:
**Education/experience**
- Current EDM-T licence
- Intermediate knowledge of hand and power tools and general manufacturing processes
- Proven ability to take and record accurate and precise measurements
- Experience in woodworking and/or metalworking is considered a strong asset
- Experience reading and interpreting technical CAD drawings

**Complexity/analysis**
- Mostly intermediate position
- Ensures measurements are accurate
- Reads and follows cab drawings
- Always follows safe work practices

**Direction received**
- Receives direction from the Lead Installer
- Uses provided cab drawings to ensure installation meets client-approved design

**Responsibilities/Accountability**
- Travelling to customer sites and assisting in the complete installation process of elevator cab interiors and components
- Troubleshooting and completing repairs and maintenance to elevator interiors and components and ensures necessary on-site documentation is completed
- Must always adhere to safe work practices and procedures as well as all other applicable health and safety laws and regulations
- Must handle work with finesse and precision
- Ensures measurements are accurate to avoid waste of material and additional production costs

**Inside/outside relationships**
- Everyday contact with customers, other trades, and the public on site; excellent customer service and adherence to company Code of Conduct is necessary to ensure positive representation of company while on site
- Communicates with Foreman and warehouse employees

**Position Conditions**
- Travels in company vehicle to and from site
- Loads and unloads material to be brought to site and back to shop
- Lifts and transports material and tools to workspace
- Consistent lifting and manual material handling required
- Works in residential & commercial buildings as well as construction sites
- Works in dusty/noisy environments
- Works with chemicals required for installation including but not limited to adhesives, cleaners, and thinners
- Some evening and weekend work may be required
- Some out-of-town/overnight work may be required
- Background checks may be required for site-specific security clearance

**Salary**: $18.00-$28.00 per hour
