Our site has the capacity to meet more than ⅓ of global demand for paclitaxel and docetaxel, commonly used active pharmaceutical ingredients (API’s) in chemotherapy medications.

Phyton Biotech is adding to its Maintenance & Engineering Department. This team plays a crucial role in ensuring the optimal life cycle of facilities, utilities systems and equipment within the organization. The department is dedicated to uphold the highest cGMP standards with the selection, specification, procurement, qualification/validation, preventative/predictive maintenance, repairs and alterations of the facilities, utilities, systems and equipment, while ensuring a safe and efficient working environment.

**What Phyton Biotech will offer you**:
Phyton Biotech determines an individual’s pay based on multiple factors including experience, education, job-related skills, and equity within the team or organization. The compensation range for this role is **$85,000 - $95,000**.

**A day in the department would include**:

- Maintain the appearance, cleanliness and maintenance of facilities and equipment through direct performance tasks and the ordering, coordination and oversight of contract maintenance services
- Assist with and/or execute the design and installation of facilities and/or process equipment and systems. This will include a variety of engineering tasks, drawing creation and/or approval, selection of appropriate equipment, commissioning and qualification of equipment and/or systems, and project management
- Ensure that all building and process systems, including HVAC, electrical, process equipment, process chillers, boilers, pressure vessels and compressed air systems are safe, operational and functioning reliably by performing routine checks, maintenance and repairs
- Install, maintain and calibrate industrial instrumentation and related facility equipment
- Maintain, troubleshoot and repair all process and/or facility equipment as required
- Maintain the preventative maintenance program (UniPoint T&E system) and efficiently complete work orders & equipment logs for the Phyton Facilities Utilities Systems and Equipment (FUSE) system
- Schedule and coordinate preventative maintenance and calibration activities with outside contractors
- Comply with and assist in improving the safety system with Phyton’s JOHSC
- Interact, communicate and coordinate with all departments to provide excellent internal customer service
- Assist with coordination of projects related to facilities/engineering expansion and improvement
- Coordinate projects directly as required
- Generate, understand, train and follow approved Phyton procedures
- Provide guidance for essential parts to be kept in inventory and advise when required parts are not available
