**Overview**

The Shipping & Receiving Clerk is responsible for managing incoming and outgoing shipments, verifying their contents, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring timely and efficient delivery of goods. They maintain positive and effective communication with drivers, customers and internal staff. They also play a crucial role in facilitating flow of paperwork and information between the office and the warehouse staff. Their responsibilities extend to ensuring a smooth transition for both incoming shipping clerks and supervisors, contributing to the overall efficiency of the shipping and receiving process.
- **Shift Schedule**:_ Sunday (6:00AM - 2:30PM), Monday - Thursday (10:00 AM - 6:30 PM)

**Duties**
- Inspecting trucks at the shipping window to ensure they meet safety and compliance standards before loading or unloading. This includes verifying proper documentation and the overall condition of the vehicle.
- Checks in trucks at the shipping window being mindful of appointment times and dock door assignments.
- Maintain accurate records of received and shipped items.
- Organize and store received paperwork.
- Communicate with carriers and internal departments to coordinate shipping and receiving process.
- Enter shipment details into computer systems to update inventory databases.
- Collaborating with warehouse staff, supervisors, and other team members to streamline shipping and receiving processes.
- Resolve any shipping or receiving issues, such as discrepancies in orders, delays, or damaged goods, efficiently and effectively.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for both internal and external clients.

**Requirements**:

- Strong organizational skills to manage incoming and outgoing shipments efficiently.
- Attention to detail for accurate verification of shipment contents.
- Basic computer skills for data entry and record-keeping.
- Knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures.
- Good communication skills to interact with warehouse staff, vendors, and other team members.
- Familiarity with relevant software and equipment used in shipping and receiving process.
- Ability to work in fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Previous experience in a similar role may be preferred.

Pay: From $20.05 per hour
