**Duties and Responsibilities**:
The Order Expeditor is responsible for ordering and purchasing products and services for the organization, tracking inbound orders, ensuring all orders have been shipped out, and handling delivery delays. The Order Expeditor reports to the Yard Supervisor and coordinates all shipments with the Yard Supervisor.

The Order Expeditor is also required to:

- Coordinate all activities related to ensuring a constant supply of materials and services for projects including equipment, tools, materials, parts and supplies
- Purchase materials, equipment and tools as needed and ensure what has been received matches what has been ordered
- Issue and manage purchase orders for approved requisitions and contracts
- Follow up on scheduled deliveries and notify the Yard Supervisor and the Yard team if a critical purchase is delayed or on backorder
- Support the Yard Supervisor in the definition of minimum inventory levels for critical supplies
- Monitor purchasing expenses and keep track of accounts as well as monitoring inventory on hand to ensure supplies or specific goods are kept at minimum established levels
- Evaluate and analyze changes and fluctuations in inventory consumption, re-evaluating minimum inventory quantities as required
- Track and analyze spending and other procurement KPIs
- Participate in make vs rent vs buy analysis as needed
- Monitor and record supplier’s performance analysis
- Perform price comparisons, evaluations and market assessments to ensure competitive pricing
- Evaluate and recommend potential new vendors based on price, material quality, logistics efficiency, and future potential
- Manage Fleet contract(s) and fleet renewal
- Upload packing slips and enter/register newly purchased items or rented items into company’s in-house Hilti On-track system
- Liaise with Accounts Payable to ensure timely set up of new vendors and to resolve all outstanding payment issues to prevent delays in product delivery
- Act as point of contact for Suppliers to resolve payment issues, product replacement and conflicts

**Education, Skills and Experience**:

- College Diploma or equivalent associate degree is considered an asset
- Minimum 2 years experience in a similar position
- Previous database experience; Hilti On-track system specifically is considered an asset
- Must comply with all WorkSafe (WCB) procedures and safety practices including on site and company work practices and guidelines
- Thorough understanding of procurement for materials and services
- Basic proficiency working with computers and MS Suite - Outlook, Word and Excel
- Knowledge of the construction industry and/or concrete forming is an asset
- Excellent interpersonal skills, attentive to detail, sense of urgency and ensures follow up
- Ability to problem-solve
- Ability to work with mínimal supervision
- Ability to communicate effectively in English; verbal and written
- Ability to maintain a flexible work schedule, multi-task, stay organized and work overtime as needed
- Must have personal protection equipment (PPE) and a reliable means of transportation to job sites
- Must be able to work outdoors on occasion in adverse weather conditions
