The Maintenance Relief is responsible for keeping the production lines in good working condition by performing preventive maintenance.

Responsibilities and duties are as follows:

- Be able to diagnose and replace faulty mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components on machines and equipment.
- Ability to perform and learn a variety of tasks with mínimal direction
- Ability to maintain a clean and safe workplace
- Monitor day to day operations, prioritize work orders as needed, and ensure timely and accurate completion of tasks.
- Basic hand tools and tool pouch required
- Ensure compliance to Agropur policies, procedures, and practices.
- Ensure productivity, encourage teamwork, and build departmental cohesiveness.
- Provides a high level of customer service through a proactive approach to daily plant problems and issues.
- Drive innovation and continuous improvement, utilizing your skills, observations, and participation.
- Ensure all maintenance work is conducted within Safety, Food Safety, and Product Quality fundamental requirements.
- Be physically fit with a good attendance and personal safety record
- Have good written and oral communication skills.
- Have previous maintenance experience in a food manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Have PLC experience.
- Have flexibility to change shifts based on department requirements and/or vacation coverage

Qualifications:

- Certificate of Apprenticeship as either a Journeyman Millwright or Electrician recognized by the Province of BC, plus 4th Class Power Engineer Certificate of Competency or the ability to achieve one within a 12 month period.
- Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in an automated production environment.
