Job Title/& Description: Parts Manager
Position Overview:
As Parts Manager, you will oversee all aspects of the department, ensuring efficient operations, exemplary customer service, optimal inventory management, and excellent communication with your experienced team and coordination with all other Departments.
Key Responsibilities:
Parts Department Management
- Lead and manage the Department to achieve sales and profitability objectives
- Ensure efficiency and accuracy with computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) software
- Oversee specifying, ordering, receiving, invoicing, order fulfillment and final payment.
- Regularly monitor and report on performance metrics relative to gross profit, expense control, and overall profitability of Dealership's Part's business.
Customer Service
- Provide exceptional service to internal and external customers
- Foster an informed, reliable and professional customer-centric culture
Team Leadership
- Establish a positive and collaborative work environment
- Work with team members to set, monitor and achieve individual and departmental objectives
- Recruit and train as necessary to maintain high performance
- Motivate team synergies, to best create internal competition to strive and achieve the Dept's goals.
- Devise, track and refine growth strategies across all aspects of Part's retail, counter wholesale opportunities.
Vendor Relations
- Create, Build and maintain/foster strong relationships with suppliers and vendors
- Ensure cost effectiveness through strong negotiation skills
- Stay informed on trends to ensure availability of new products
Compliance and Documentation
- Establish and maintain industry standard record-keeping procedures
- Ensure accuracy of all invoicing, receipting, purchasing, ordering and returns
Key Qualifications:
- Automotive dealership experience including proficiency in PBS Systems and Stellantis/OEM Parts Operations
- Strong MS Office skills
- Proven leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Deep knowledge of automotive systems and components
- High proficiency in inventory management and ordering processes
- Goal oriented, with a customer-focused mindset and commitment to service excellence
