**Job Title**

Summer 2023- Insurance -Student Financial Underwriter - 4 months (May to August)

**Please note**: This posting is for a 4-month Student Summer 2023 placement with a start date of May 2023, and end-date of August 2023. In order to be eligible for this 4-month Student position, you must either:

- Be returning to school after the work term end-date of August 2023; or
- If you are not returning back to school (i.e. are graduating in August 2023), you must require the work term as a mandatory component to in order to graduate successfully.

**What is the opportunity?**

The primary purpose of this role is the administrative review on Living Benefits enforce policies when exercising the contractual Future Income Option (FIO) to increase coverage. The Student Financial Underwriter is responsible for the concise completion of the initial handling template. This role impacts the Underwriting Department’s achievement of production and persistency goals as well as the profitability of the Company within each employee’s assigned approval limits.

**What will you do?**
- Support the Financial Underwriter with the evaluation of financial statements and tax forms
- Ensure delivery of a superior client experience & achieving levels of client satisfaction that contribute positively to persistency and reputation in the marketplace
- Ensure compliance with corporate policies
- Ensure audit results are within acceptable ranges
- Prioritization of work for greatest impact

**What will you need to be successful?**
- Bilingual preferred (English and French, written and spoken)
- First or Second Year University student in an Accounting program
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Detail and accuracy oriented
- Ability to prioritize fluctuating workloads in a high stress environment
