**Program Overview - Workforce Development, Community Programs**

This position reports to the Manager of Program Design Learning and Evaluation, in collaboration with the Training Coordinator of Workforce Development. The incumbent delivers in-person and remote training and activities to prepare clients for employment opportunities in specific sectors, roles, and occupations. This position works within the Community Programs Unit to contribute to the learning opportunities provided to a variety of clients to improve their occupational-specific hard skills, employability skills and financial literacy. The incumbent also is a resource and contributor to the design, development, coordination, implementation, administration, and support of training activities specific to the Workforce Development Team and within the Community Programs Unit at WoodGreen.

**What You Will Do**
- Deliver high quality and effective training in a variety of formats including classroom, web-based, online and video.
- Learn and master the delivery of current WoodGreen courses in the areas of digital literacy, financial literacy, and employability skills.
- Manage client interaction and support positive behaviour.
- Work collaboratively with case counsellor, supervisor, and manager to ensure client success.
- Help the Training Coordinator research and develop new courses, materials, and programs, as needed.
- Duplicate and transport course materials to classrooms, as needed for in-class sessions.
- Perform outreach activities online, at events and in person to promote programs, services, and courses.
- Maintain regular social media presence by sharing information about courses and important information.
- Travel to different WoodGreen locations occasionally as needed and/or work for extended periods of time at one location, if needed.
- Set up/tear down training room tables, chairs, computers, other equipment, and materials.
- Ensure anti-racism objectives and community development principles of the organization are achieved.
- Carry out additional duties as identified by the Manager of Program Design Learning and Evaluation.
- Lift and transport moderately heavy objects, such as computers and peripherals, training materials and supplies.

**What You Bring to the Team**
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field such as Education, Psychology, or Human Resources.
- Education and/or training in the areas of adult learning and remote learning.
- 1 + year of experience delivering training to adult learners.
- 1 + year of recent experience delivering remote training (e.g., webinar, pre-recorded audio, video, online training)
- Significant lived experience, preferably in multiple occupations and work settings, that can be shared to inspire and teach clients successful life strategies and resilience.
- Experience working with vulnerable populations, ideally job seekers with multiple barriers

- Experience with Microsoft Teams and Microsoft Live Events a plus.
- Advanced knowledge in PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
- Strong digital literacy skills, particularly in the areas of online job search, online learning, building an online presence and optimizing the use of LinkedIn.
- Expert knowledge of employment-related information including resume writing, interviewing, networking, and job search.
- Ability to very occasionally work evenings or weekends.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
