Employees of the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia (Assembly) provide professional non-partisan services to support the democratic institution of Parliament and its members through procedural advice, administrative support and information services. The Assembly is an autonomous employer, separate from the administrative framework of B.C. government ministries and agencies.

The Client Services department is seeking a strategic, collaborative and service-oriented individual for the regular full-time position of Director, Client Services.

Reporting to the Clerk Assistant, Parliamentary Services, the Director, Client Services (Director) is accountable for the provision of services and supports to key client groups: MLAs, caucus staff, and constituency office staff, with the key goal of enabling and removing barriers through the anticipation of needs and effective and efficient service delivery. The Director is responsible for developing and executing on strategies, plans, and performance measures that align with organizational strategic priorities and initiatives, with the primary goal of improving and optimizing service delivery. The Director also oversees day-to-day operations of the Client Care Team, the Leasing Team, program areas, and core business transformation and readiness functions.

**QUALIFICATIONS**

Applicants must be/have:

- A post-secondary education in business administration, general management, or a related program, plus at least seven years of experience* working in a senior leadership capacity or an equivalent combination of education and experience. *Relevant experience may include:

- Leading and overseeing service design, delivery, transformation, and integration initiatives.
- Working in a complex and multi-faceted service-oriented environment.
- Managing, motivating, coaching, and mentoring staff.
- Planning to support and deliver on strategic and operational objectives.
- Acting as project sponsor/oversight and management.
- Significant stakeholder engagement, business transformation/optimization planning and execution, and implementation of new and best practices.
- Experience working in a parliamentary or public sector environment.
