Jane Norman College is looking for a **Family Home Child Care Consultant**.

Reporting to the Family Home Child Care Director, the Consultant role supports the Family Home Child Care Providers, approved by the Jane Norman College Family Home Child Care Agency, through pedagogical leadership, resource support, regulatory understanding, and regular, meaningful communication and home visits.

In addition to being an accomplished educator, the role requires excellent interpersonal, time management and organization skills.

The role necessitates understanding and adherence to best practices in Early Childhood Education and believing in and promoting the College’s values.

The position is located at Jane Norman College in Truro.
- Hold an Early Childhood Education Diploma or Degree
- Have current classification Level 2/3 under NS DEECD
- Have 3 year’s+ (preferable) experience in a regulated childcare setting
- Have basic word processing, spreadsheet, and technological experience
- Have above average communication skills (written and oral)
- Possess a valid NS diver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle
- Be a motivated, reliable, self-starter
- Be able to demonstrate knowledge of emergent curriculum and current best practices in early childhood education

Previous experience as a family home child care provider is an asset.

**Wages will be commensurate with education and experience under the Nova Scotia Early Childhood Educator Wage Scale. Total compensation will include paid sick time, medical benefits, and paid vacation time.**
