Join our City Hall Customer Service and Finance Team The City of Yellowknife is currently seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to assume the position of Customer Service Representative I working at the front desk in City Hall.

Under the direct supervision of the Supervisor, Customer Service, the incumbent works as part of a team that is responsible for administrative and operational support at the City. This includes issuing various permits, assisting with the licensing process, mail sorting, cashier services, word-processing, data entry and retrieval, research, filing and file control, answering telephones, switchboard duties, and providing service to the public over the telephone and in person at the service counter.

This position requires exceptional customer service skills, strong computer skills, integrated accounting/financial, and database software experience. Well-developed organizational and verbal skills, including tact and diplomacy, are necessary for the incumbent to multi-task when dealing with customer enquiries. The incumbent must be bondable. The work requires the incumbent to have successfully completed Grade 12, and a minimum of two years of experience in an office setting which includes providing customer service.

The City of Yellowknife offers a competitive hourly rate of $28.86 plus 4% vacation pay for this position. The hours of work are Monday to Friday from 8am to 5pm and the incumbent must be able to start immediately.
