**About the Opportunity**:
Reporting to the Director for Community Wellness Supports, Mental Health and Addictions (MHA), the Community Wellness Supports Manager is responsible for providing operational and strategic oversight of Health Promotion initiatives aimed to support the mental health and wellness of the population as a whole, programs and activities across the Tier 1 and Tier 2 Community Wellness Supports portfolio.

The Community Wellness Supports Manager leads a team of Health Promotion Practitioners, Engagement Specialists and others, fostering cross-sectoral action by establishing and maintaining collaborative relationships with community partners, equity deserving groups, and with other programs within NSH. The Community Wellness Supports Manager is responsible for public engagement by building and maintaining cooperative, collaborative relationships with community partners and other key stakeholders in various settings, while providing strategic leadership, project management, team coordination, and accountability processes.

The Community Wellness Supports Manager will help address and build capacity and structure to support our response to the Mass Casualty Commission's final report recommendations, relevant to Mental Health & Addictions program

**About You**:
We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

- Master’s Degree in a recognized Health Promotion, Public Health mental health and/or addiction health discipline or related field with five (5) years’ experience in a health promotion, public health, or mental health and addictions system preferred; OR Bachelor Degree in a recognized Health Promotion, Public Health or mental health and addiction discipline, with five (5) years’ experience in mental health promotion, one of which should be in professional practice/leadership capacity
- Registered/eligible for registration and a member in good standing of the relevant regulatory body.
- Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in working in the mental health and addictions Health Promotion field.
- Membership in the Canadian College of Health Leadership with CHE designation, or equivalent, is an asset
- IAP2 Training is an asset (international Association for Public Participation)
- Judgment and decision making skills demonstrated through analysis and synthesis, problem solving, systems thinking and emotional intelligence.
- Demonstrated ability to define a vision and guide individuals and groups toward the vision while maintaining group cohesiveness, motivation, commitment and effectiveness.
- Management skills demonstrated through planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluating
- Ability to manage human resources/intellectual capital, financial resources, capital/material assets and information.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with evidence of their use in establishing partnerships and respectful, productive, collaborative internal/ external stakeholder relationships;
- Ability to use sound professional judgment and initiative.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and/or upgrading
- Experience reporting on a range of financial, human resource, client and family satisfaction indicators
- Commitment to a healthy workplace and the use of best practices in building/ sustaining staff competencies, ensuring good communication and involvement of staff in decisions which affect them;
- Commitment to developing a culture of continuous quality improvements
