Almonte General Hospital and Carleton Place & District Memorial Hospital created the Mississippi River Health Alliance (MRHA) in 2016 to formalize their commitment to work together to improve each patient and resident’s overall healthcare experience through a strong, coordinated system of care. Each hospital remains a separate corporation with its own Board of Directors and Foundation. A Senior Team leads the two Hospitals, as well as Fairview Manor and Lanark County Paramedic Service which are operating divisions of AGH. Over 600 caring staff, physicians and midwives provide excellent primary, acute and long-term care to citizens of Lanark County, West Ottawa and Renfrew County.

Reporting to the Director, Health Information, Decision Support & Privacy Officer, the incumbent is responsible for receiving and documenting patients for Admission, Ambulatory Care, and Out-Patient Services as well as being responsible for the operation of the switchboard.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Successful completion of Grade 12
- Completion of a Medical Office Administration program or two (2) years’ minimum experience as a Registration Clerk.
- Minimum typing speed of 40 words per minute (testing required)
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Courteous telephone manners.
- Ability to work independently within the limits of the position.
- Excellent organizational skills and interpersonal skills.
- Able to work accurately with attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Commitment to continuing education.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Previous experience with computerized patient information systems
- Previous experience with Admitting Department.

**Job Type**: Casual

Pay: $27.54-$32.21 per hour
