Job Summary

Mainstream is committed to providing Person Centred Supports to the people we support. A person centered approach recognizes the right of individuals to make informed choices and take responsibility for those choices and related risks. It builds on the strengths, gifts, talents, skills, and contributions of the individual and those who know and care about the person.

Along with the Program Manager, the Team Supervisor plays an integral role in ensuring the successful operation of the program. The Team Supervisor is required to provide leadership and direction to the staff team to best meet the day to day functioning of the program and needs of people supported. He/she will communicate and work closely with the Program Manager to ensure the vision and strategic goals of the Supported Living Program are realized.

The Team Supervisor is also expected to:

- advocate and assist people supported to find a valuable place in their community
- provide best support for people to realize their potential in all aspects of life
- assist and explore ways for people supported to identify goals that are important to them and seek opportunities to realize them
- provide direct support to people for day to day activities

The Team Supervisor will be required to build and demonstrate respectful and positive relationships with persons supported, family members, a broad range of service providers, health practitioners and all Mainstream employees.

The Team Supervisor will also be required to be On Call on a rotating basis and gain a sound knowledge of Mainstream’s programs, policies and people supported in order to respond effectively to after-hours calls and emergencies.

**Qualifications & Key Requirements**:
College Diploma/ University Degree or equivalent experience supporting people with developmental/dual diagnoses.

Must have a valid Driver’s License (G) and a reliable vehicle; Auto Insurance (with a $1,000,000 liability coverage and a permission to carry non-paying passengers).

Must have a police clearance (with vulnerable sector screening).

Must have a valid First Aid, CPR, & CPI/NVCI certificate.

Demonstrated skills in team work, communication and resilience.

Please note that the selection process will be person centered and utilize matching tools to ensure that employees are well matched to the people they will be supporting, the program, the team and the organization. The selection process will also require you to demonstrate your skills in providing person centered supports and connecting to the community through written exercises, interview questions and hands on activities.

Pay: $28.26-$29.04 per hour

Expected hours: 38 per week

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Holidays
- On call
- Weekends as needed
