Some assets for the position are the following:

- A High Five Certification
- Experience sharpening skates and assisting others with fitting skates/helmets
- Previous work experience in a related role involving skate shop duties, skate patrol or providing on-ice assistance
- Experience with a recreation registration software such as PerfectMind

The City offers a CUPE hourly wage of $21.47 as well as 12% in lieu of benefits. Applicants under consideration will be required to undergo a police security clearance evaluation and vulnerable sector check (with no adverse reports).
