**Project Manager I, Knowledge Centre**

The BC Children’s Knowledge Centre will leverage the trusted brand of BC Children’s Hospital to deliver reliable and evidence-informed tools and health information resources to children, youth and families across BC and the professionals who support them. This new program of BC Children’s Hospital will achieve this vision by coordinating across, enabling and building upon existing knowledge-focused experts within BC Children’s, PHSA and across partner organizations. The processes and outputs of the Knowledge Centre will be informed by diverse family groups, ensuring cultural awareness, socioeconomic backgrounds and ranging abilities are considered in the work.

**What you’ll do**
- Establish detailed project charter, plans and objectives to outline timelines and project deliverables.
- Execute project plan according to project methodologies, ensure successful and coordinated completion of project components, consult with stakeholders as needed and ensure readiness for project implementation.
- Track project progress according to project plan and identified metrics.
- Monitor and report on the status of projects and major barriers encountered.
- Make recommendations to Director of Clinical Informatics regarding projects scope and related changes required to facilitate a successful outcome.
- Implement or contribute to the implementation of effective processes to assess project risks, identify risk mitigation strategies and monitor risk throughout the project lifecycle.
- Participate in the development and monitoring of project budgets within the context of operations demands and environmental and resource constraints and uses best practice methods to thoroughly monitor and adhere to allocated budgets.
- Provide leadership by giving advice or guidance in situations that require interpretation and judgment.

**What you bring**
- A level of education, training, and experience equivalent to a Master’s Degree in Business Administration or relevant health care discipline.
- A minimum of five (5) year’s recent, related experience in project management and facilitating and managing consultation processes with a wide range of stakeholder groups.
- Project Management Professional designation considered an asset.

You also have:

- Comprehensive knowledge of project management principles and methodologies and ability to coach team members on these skills.
- Experience or working knowledge of content areas including healthcare, clinical informatics, and technical/interfacing projects is key to the success of this role.
- Effectively monitors budgets and executes project plans with stringent timelines.
- Awareness of and commitment to learning and understanding the Truth & Reconciliation Commission’s 94 Calls to Action (2015), In Plain Sight Report (2020), BC's Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act (2019), and Reclaiming Power and Place Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women & Girls calls for justice, and how they intersect across the health care system.
- Ability to support team members on their learning journey, ensuring education strategy for team/department to implement Indigenous Cultural Safety at a practical level.
- Ability to work collaboratively with appropriate Indigenous teams/departments to ensure ICS lens applied holistically.
- Commitment to upholding the shared responsibility of creating lasting and meaningful reconciliation in Canada as per TRC (2015) and BC's Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act (2019).
