- GSL is an agricultural commodities trading business committed to offering quality service to our business partners and building a more efficient & sustainable food system.

GSL is building a new Carbon Credit Trading Desk. We are looking for a high-performing individual to contribute to establishing the desk, trade carbon credits and develop over-the-counter carbon solutions for clients. As we progress, additional individuals will be brought onto the team.

GSL’s ambition is to develop a robust offering of high-quality nature-based voluntary credits and eventually trade a range of products in the Environmental Credits market.

**As a Carbon Credits Trader, you will**:

- Work alongside GSL’s Carbon Analyst and Commercial Lead to develop the Carbon Desk’s offering and brand;
- Find your own prospects and through extensive cold calling, develop a sales pipeline;
- Develop carbon solutions for prospective clients;
- Prepare pitch material and work with the Carbon Analyst to close and execute deals;
- Work with the team to develop offtake partnerships with carbon project developers;
- Monitor market trends to capitalize on opportunities;
- Provide great customer service.

**Profiles we are looking for**:

- Due to the territories covered by the job, you must be fluent in English, both written and oral (Essential);
- You are bilingual (French/English) and/or additional languages (Asset);
- You have minimum 3 years of successful track record in Trading, Sales and Business development;
- You are a bachelor’s/ Master's graduate, preferably in a STEM or Business field;
- You pay exceptional attention to detail and have an acute sense of ownership;
- You have an effective communication & negotiation skills;
- You have previous experience in the carbon field (Asset).

La mission de GSL est de développer une offre solide de crédits de haute qualité basés sur la conservation de la nature et de négocier une gamme de produits sur le marché des crédits environnementaux.

En tant que négociant(e) de crédits carbone, tu seras amené(e) à:

- Travailler avec l'analyste carbone et le responsable commercial de GSL pour développer l'offre et la marque du département de carbone ;
- Bâtir ta propre banque de prospects et, par le biais d'appels téléphoniques, développer un pipeline de ventes ;
- Développer des solutions carbone pour les clients potentiels ;
- Préparer le matériel de présentation et travailler avec l'analyste carbone pour conclure et exécuter les contrats ;
- Travailler avec l'équipe pour développer des partenariats de prélèvement avec les développeurs de projets carbone ;
- Suivre les tendances du marché afin de tirer parti des opportunités ;
- Fournir un excellent service à la clientèle.

**Les profils que nous cherchons**:

- Dû aux territoires couverts par le travail, tu dois bien maitriser l'anglais, et ce, tant à l'écrit qu'à l'oral (Essentiel);
- Tu es bilingue (français et anglais) et/ou parles une autre langue (Atout);
- Tu as un minimum de 3 ans d'expérience dans le domaine du trading, des ventes ou du développement commercial ;
- Tu as un diplôme de licence/maitrise dans un domaine scientifique ou commercial;
- Tu as d’excellentes compétences en communication et en négociation;
- Tu as de l’expérience dans le domaine du carbone (Atout).
