**Job Title**: International Admissions Coordinator

**Start date**: As soon as possible

**Reports to**: Director of Admissions (Shawnigan Lake)

**Collaborates with**: Director of Boarding, Director of Admissions (Vancouver)

**Wage**: Renumeration based on experience; Extended health & dental plan

**JOB DESCRIPTION**:
DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES

Track and maintain student enrolment processes, local and international students

Facilitate information flow between all international admissions stakeholders, including SJA staff, agents and parents

Communicate with and maintain contact with international students' parents

Maintain students enrolment and admissions data in OpenApply, ManageBac, and Teams

Provide virtual and on-campus tours

Help achieve SJA Admission's targets

Provide students and families with current and relevant information about SJA academic and boarding programs

Provide students and families with current and relevant information regarding diploma pathways in BC, in Canada, and internationally

Develop the capacity to work with international admissions agents

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

Minimum two years' experience working in school admissions

Minimum two years' experience working with international students

Previous experience in international admissions processes, international student services, immigration regulations, and transition programs are an asset

Experience working with student data and record keeping

Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively and professionally both verbally and in writing

Oral and written fluency in English and secondary language(s) is an asset

Ability to independently exercise personal initiative and responsibility

Able to work collaboratively to achieve team goals and targets

Ability to represent SJA with tact and diplomacy in all settings, following SJA core values

Demonstrate understanding of graduation pathways including the British Columbia Dogwood Diploma and the International Baccalaureate Program

Demonstrate ability to handle confidential information appropriately

Evaluation strategies for situational needs

Knowledge of, and experience with, international cultures and indigenous worldviews

Knowledge of university programs and matriculation requirements

Ability to manage detail-oriented work

Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills

Ability to deal with people, and in particular adolescents, in a sensitive, empathetic and tactful manner at all times

Ability to establish priorities, organize, schedule and solve problems and tasks

All new employees are required to complete a Criminal Record Check

Able to travel and/or work at various campuses

Willing to work evenings and weekends, as needed

Minimum of 45 WPM keyboarding skills with a high degree of accuracy

Must possess a valid drivers license and access to a vehicle is required

**Preference will be given to those applicants who have previous experience working with international students or office of admission**
