Duties & Responsibilities:
As a Food and Beverage Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our restaurant. Your primary responsibilities will include:

- Supervising and coordinating the activities of the front-of-house staff, including servers, hosts/hostesses, and bartenders.
- Assisting in staff training, providing guidance on service standards, menu knowledge, and customer interaction.
- Overseeing the dining area to ensure a seamless flow of service, addressing any issues that may arise promptly.
- Monitoring food quality and presentation, collaborating with the kitchen team to maintain consistency and excellence.
- Handling customer inquiries, concerns, and feedback with professionalism and a commitment to guest satisfaction.
- Managing reservations and seating arrangements efficiently, optimizing table turnover and guest satisfaction.
- Collaborating with management to develop and implement strategies for improving service quality and overall customer experience.
- Enforcing health and safety standards, as well as restaurant policies, to create a safe and welcoming environment for both staff and patrons.
- Assisting in the management of inventory, including beverages and supplies, and communicating any restocking needs.
- Set-up, operate and dismantle audio-visual equipment;
- Demonstrate a strong working knowledge of maintenance and usage of all Audio-Visual equipment;
- Conduct appropriate coaching and accountability of food and beverage associates when service, performance, or cleanliness standards are not met;
- Any and all other work as required to complete the primary purpose of the position.
- Resolves problems and executes service recoveries if necessary to ensure guest satisfaction
- Supervises staff's punctuality and adherence to uniform and appearance standards.
- Interacts with staff on a regular basis to communicate needs and goals while providing employees with the opportunity to share ideas and exchange feedback.
- Report all product/service defects and takes ownership to get these deficiencies resolved.
- Understands POS systems and has the capacity to perform basic functions on the servers' stations
- Reports and documents any observed or known safety hazards, conditions or unsafe practices and procedures to management.
- Performs any other duties as assigned by Manager.
- Previous Leadership experience required
- Smart serve certificate required
- Competent in all Microsoft office component is an asset.

**Qualifications**:

- Previous experience in a customer-client service role industry is required.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team to deliver exceptional service.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with customers, staff, and management.
- In-depth knowledge of food and beverage operations, including menu items, wine, and cocktail offerings.
- A customer-centric mindset with a genuine passion for providing outstanding guest experiences.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations and a commitment to maintaining a clean and safe environment.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Pay: From $18.50 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Whitby, ON L1N 1X8: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- Secondary School (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Customer service: 1 year (preferred)

**Language**:

- English (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Smart Serve (preferred)
