Sushi Chef

Duties:

- Prepare and create sushi dishes according to established recipes and standards
- Ensure the quality and freshness of ingredients used in sushi preparation
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper storage and handling of ingredients
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient meal preparation
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines throughout the food preparation process
- Monitor inventory levels and notify management when supplies need to be replenished
- Stay updated on new sushi trends and techniques to continuously improve skills

**Skills**:

- Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or similar role in a food service establishment
- Extensive knowledge of sushi preparation techniques, including knife skills and ingredient selection
- Strong attention to detail and ability to create visually appealing dishes
- Excellent time management skills to ensure orders are prepared in a timely manner
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices for handling raw fish and seafood

**Salary**: $20.00-$25.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Weekends as needed

Licence/Certification:

- Food Handler Certification (preferred)
