As an Adult, Youth, Child Worker at our Adult Services Program in **Delta** and our Adult Services Program in **New Westminster**,** you will have the opportunity to be a part of a team that provides support, care, and mentorship to adult clients with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and other special needs in a therapeutic home setting. This part-time line is **32 hours/week** with the following shifts:
Friday-Saturday (Awake overnight 11pm-7am) in New West

Monday-Tuesday (Night Attendant 11pm-7am) in Delta

**Qualifications**:

- Post-secondary education in Psychology, ECE, ABA, Social Services, or related field and/or equivalent experience working with youth with ASD and special needs
- Minimum one year of experience working with non-verbal youth with ASD and behavioural challenges
- BC Class 5 Driver’s License or Equivalent
- Clear and concise written and verbal communication
- Effective de-escalation and crisis management skills
- Ability to follow behavioural support plans
- Ability to pass a Criminal Record Check and Ministry of Children and Family Development consolidated check (takes up to 6 weeks to process so please plan accordingly)
- Proof of COVID-19 double vaccination record

- Maintaining a safe and healthy environment in the home
- Building positive working relationships with the client, family, community members, and other professionals involved in the care team
- Encouraging and modeling acceptable social standards and setting appropriate boundaries
- Engaging in frequent interaction with clients, using appropriate means of communication
- Facilitating recreational and/or educational activities
- Attending school meetings and case conferences when required
- Performing household maintenance duties, preparing meals, administering medication, and assisting youth with personal care as needed
- Collaborating with the clinical team and providing input into assessments and care plans

**Salary**: $24.00-$26.00/hr Plus Benefits
