**THE OPPORTUNITY**

The Store Manager will report directly to the Head of Retail and will work closely with other members of our Retail Operations team. As our stores are open daily and on weekends, this position will require a variety of shifts including work on weekdays, weeknights and weekends. You will spend a minimum of 4 days per week leading the retail floor with your team.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Leadership & Training:_
- Lead your team by example through coaching and building connection
- Build and maintain a diverse and multifaceted team who prioritizes customer experience, cannabis education and connection to their teammates and customers
- Walk the walk, take responsibility for the education, leadership and development of your team by living into the Burb leadership programs.
- Hold your team accountable to results and provide feedback, coaching and development for all members of the team
- Lead and own all aspects of people management in your store in alignment with HR recommendations including: recruiting, interviewing, training, onboarding, education and development
- Create succession plans for the members of your team and identify and develop successors for potential new openings and opportunities
- Customer Service:_
- Act as an ambassador and leader of the company by developing relationships with customers and external stakeholders
- Contribute to making Burb the leader in cannabis retail customer experience by providing
- Provide best in class customer service at all times
- Hold your team accountable to excellent standards of customer service and provide mentorship and feedback in these areas when necessary
- Operations:_
- Communicate all new changes or updates in products, brand, news, processes and other important Burb information to your team through internal communication platforms and training
- Hold and plan regular staff meetings to support communication of information to staff members and space for discussion
- Lead a profitable store by enrolling the entire team to achieve the sales plan and utilizing company tools to make strategic sales plans and meet targets
- Take responsibility for all product and inventory management at your store working directly with Product and Inventory Leads to ensure your store has an effective inventory management system, product testing strategy, execution of product walkthroughs, and overseeing visual merchandising and sell-through at your store.
- Track your expenses and review P&L/income statements to ensure accuracy for your store
- Manage your team’s headcount in alignment with company recommendations and proactively fill and develop a recruitment pipeline
- Track and manage your labour hours to meet labour targets including scheduling to maximize customer experience and effective product education
- Create staff schedules, approve vacation and leave requests while ensuring appropriate coverage in the store
- Report and process employee changes to hours, compensation, job duties and other factors appropriately and in a timely manner in combination with the HR and Payroll team
- Under the direction of the Retail Operations team, you will attend meetings to represent your store and work as a team cross-functionally with other stores and areas of the business

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- 3+ years of Retail Management experience required, cannabis retail experience considered an asset
- Bilingual: not required but preferred
