**DESCRIPTION**
The HSE Administrator is responsible for supporting the maintenance of Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) data and system updates, with a particular emphasis on document control. The role involves efficiently managing and organizing documentation related to HSEQ, ensuring accuracy, and contributing to the overall effectiveness of the quality management system. This temporary project position is based at our Woodfibre project office located in Squamish, British Columbia.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Maintain and promote a strong safety culture for all employees, vendors, and customers and follow all safety policies, procedures, and regulations. Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions.
- Provide dedicated support for employee WorkHub setups, addressing inquiries and questions promptly to ensure a seamless experience for all employees.
- Manage and maintain a comprehensive library of HSE templates, specifically focusing on forms utilized in the field. Ensure these templates align with current standards and are readily accessible for efficient use.
- Contribute to the assessment of leading and lagging indicators by compiling and providing statistical reports. Collaborate with internal stakeholders and clients to deliver insightful data that informs decision-making.
- Take charge of managing and tracking employee awards, as well as overseeing the safety observation recognition program.
- Support and facilitate joint occupational health and safety committee meetings on-site. Ensure effective communication and collaboration between committee members, addressing safety concerns, and actively contributing to the continuous improvement of safety protocols
- Meticulously collect, scan, and inventory Field-Level Hazard Assessments (FLHA), Job Hazard Analyses (JHA), and other required documentation.
- Coordinate and facilitate new employee and site-specific orientations on-site, ensuring a comprehensive onboarding process.
- Other duties as needed.
**REQUIREMENTS**
- Administrative experience.
- Proficient using Microsoft software including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and clean drivers abstract as determined by our Michels Canada Transportation Compliance Review team.
**DESIRED SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS**
- Familiarity with Canadian OHS and provincial workers compensation legislation.
**LANGUAGES**
- Must be able to communicate verbally and through written language (by hand and digitally) in English.
