**LOCATION: The George Hull Centre for Children and Families, North Etobicoke and South Etobicoke locations**

The George Hull Centre is seeking a clinician to join the **R.I.T.E.S. Collaborative**, a range of integrated mental health services for Black children and youth from birth to 18, and their families, in the Rexdale community. These services, co-developed by the George Hull Centre and Central Toronto Youth Services, will be designed to address the many barriers that Black children and youth experience in accessing mental health services. The R.I.T.E.S. Collaborative will build upon the experience that Central Toronto Youth Services has had in delivering culturally specific programming to Black and Black LGBTQ2S youth in Toronto, and the George Hull Centre’s full range of multidisciplinary clinical services and interventions, including family therapy and trauma interventions.

The successful R.I.T.E.S. Collaborative clinician will become part of the George Hull Centre’s Community Clinic, which is committed to clinical excellence and working collaboratively with families to enhance the growth and development of children and youth. **The George Hull Centre, and the R.I.T.E.S. Collaborative, are committed to building intervention teams that reflect the diversity of our clients. Priority will be given to applicants that identify with and have experience supporting racialized communities, in particular Black and African Canadian Communities.**

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Identification as a member of Black/African Canadian community
- Demonstrated experience working from an anti-oppressive and anti-Black racism framework with youth and families from diverse ethno-cultural and socio-economic backgrounds, including youth with diverse educational backgrounds and abilities, and racialized communities
- Master’s degree in Social Work or Psychology with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in children’s mental health
- Certification with the Ontario College of Social Workers or Equivalent
- Excellent clinical skills in assessment, formulation, and treatment
- Knowledge and experience in family therapy, systems theory, group work theory, child development, and trauma informed practice is desirable
- Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent administrative and time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Sound judgment, sensitivity, flexibility and initiative for engaging and working with families, individuals, groups and colleagues
- Ability to work independently and as a member of the multidisciplinary team
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with multiple service providers in coordinating and planning services
- Keyboarding skills and working knowledge of information and communication technology is required (e.g. Microsoft 365, Zoom, Word and PowerPoint)
- Knowledge of relevant legislation pertaining to children’s mental health
- A valid Ontario Driver’s License and access to a reliable vehicle for work
- A second language would be an asset

**SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- To provide initial consultations to families to assist them in identifying needs
- To provide comprehensive outpatient clinical assessment and treatment of children and youth with an emphasis on family treatment using evidence informed treatment models
- To provide client centered case management and service coordination to ensure timely and coordinated care
- To advocate for clients and work collaboratively with community partners to coordinate and integrate services
- To collaborate with multidisciplinary staff and utilize consultation as appropriate to support assessment, treatment planning, and implementation
- To participate in team, staff and supervision meetings regularly
- To maintain all records and reports as required by the Centre’s policies and procedures
- To provide services flexibly in a broad variety of locations including office, school, family homes and community settings
- To contribute to program development initiatives within the team and across programs
- To provide direct service hours consistent with agency requirements
- To ensure the regular and timely recording of data as per agency and funder requirements

**HOURS**:

- 36.25 hours per week including flexible hours and some evening work
