Lab & Production Assistant (Cell Biology)

You will coordinate with the team leader and work to control quality and propagate cell lines. You will forecast and plan requirements with the team leader to ensure that inventory for internal use is in place to meet project demands, and communicate effectively with managers, supervisors and other departments. You are a motivated team player with the demonstrated ability to provide effective quality assurance with lab techniques in the department.

**Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following**:

- Support the cell biology department in an entry-level position in accordance to the standard operating procedures, such as culturing cells.
- Support the custom order department in an entry-level position to help generate and QC new cell line products.
- Assist with general lab maintenance tasks
- College certificate/diploma or university bachelors degree in Biology or other Life Science fields
- Keen interest in Biology, Biotechnology, Molecular Biology or relevant fields
- Previous experience, such as a co-op term, is an asset; experience in mammalian cell culture is a bonus
- Excellent organization skills, high attention to details and good prioritization of responsibilities
- Strong verbal and written communication to act as the liaison between multiple different teams and external stakeholders
- Capacity to work independently as well as in a dynamic team environment
- Ability to work in a fast-paced industry
- Compensation will be based on qualification and competency
