The Electronics Technician will be required to perform expert repairs and maintenance on a variety of electronic dental equipment at our National Repair Center.

**Major Duties**:

- Follow the manufacturer’s specifications for repair, modifications, updates or calibration/radiation of defective equipment.
- Estimate the approximate cost of the repair and advise Customer Service to obtain approval from the customer to proceed with the repair.
- Complete assessments and repairs within an acceptable timeframe.
- Ensure equipment is working properly and delivery is completed after repair is complete.
- Identify parts and tools required for repair and order parts as required.
- Have thorough knowledge of electronic dental equipment in order to be able to offer support to customers on the basic use and maintenance of the equipment. Must be a reference source for on-road technicians.
- Take steps to obtain the information needed to repair new equipment.
- Be responsible for the use, maintenance and safety of equipment, tools or other used for the repair of various electronic equipment.
- Keep the workspace clean and tidy.
- Perform all other tasks as assigned or requested.

**Job qualifications**:

- College or professional diploma in Electronics, or other relevant experience.
- 2 to 3 years of experience working in electronic equipment repair, preferably in dental or medical environment.
- Strong organizational skills and an innate ability to solve problems.
- Manual dexterity required.
- Work quickly, under pressure and accurately.
- Motivated team player.
- Thorough ability for customer service.
- Good knowledge of English and French, both verbal and written in order to follow our manufacturers guidelines for repair of equipment.

Le technicien (ne) en électronique devra effectuer des réparations et l’entretien de manière experte sur une variété d’équipement dentaires électroniques, et ce, à notre Centre national de réparation.

**Fonctions essentielles**:

- Suivre les spécifications du manufacturier reliées à la réparation, les modifications, les mises à jour ou le calibrage/radiation des équipements défectueux.
- Évaluer le coût approximatif de la réparation et en aviser le service à la clientèle afin qu’il obtienne l’autorisation du client afin de procéder à la réparation.
- Effectuer les évaluations et les réparations dans un délai acceptable.
- S'assurer du bon fonctionnement des équipements et de la livraison une fois la réparation terminée.
- Déterminer les pièces et les outils nécessaires afin de procéder à la réparation et commander les pièces au besoin.
- Connaitre parfaitement les équipements dentaires électroniques afin d’être en mesure d’offrir le support aux clients sur l'usage et l'entretien de base des équipements. Doit être une source de référence pour les techniciens sur la route.
- Effectuer les démarches afin d'obtenir les informations nécessaires pour la réparation d'un nouvel équipement.
- Être responsable pour l'usage, l'entretien et la sécurité des équipements, outils ou autres utilisés pour la réparation des différents équipements électroniques.
- Garder sa place de travail propre et bien ordonnée.
- Effectuer toutes autres tâches tel qu’assignées ou demandées.

**Formation et compétences**:

- Diplôme d'études collégiales ou professionnels en électronique, ou toute autre expérience pertinente.
- Détenir 2 à 3 ans d'expérience de travail en réparation d’équipements électroniques, et ce, en environnement dentaire ou médical de préférence.
- Excellent sens de l'organisation et une aptitude innée pour la résolution de problèmes.
- Dextérité manuelle requise.
- Travailler rapidement, sous pression et avec précision.
- Travailleur motivé ayant un bon esprit d'équipe.
- Aptitude développée pour le service à la clientèle.
- Bonne connaissance du français et de l'anglais, tant à l'oral qu'à l'écrit afin de pouvoir suivre les consignes de réparation établies par nos manufacturiers.
